No-one was interested; the only comment I got from the petite wifflet was that I "was always ill this time of year, Live with it".

For your maps, if you are absolutely convinced you won't be separated, why don't you print out the 1:50's for the mountainous bits at 1/100 scale. You really only need this for the mountain areas so not many would be required.

I think the problems lie with blokes: For instance, Lord Elpus and I can be half a mile apart on our jaunts through the hills - when one stops for a while the other can wanders slowly on, so the overall time loss to stops is not huge. This leads to large separations and the need for two sets of maps. If you and Mick stick together like glue then it is less liely you will need two sets. However you shouldn't discount the occassional accident - where say, the map carrier disappears from view - it is so easily done.

For the sake of an evening's printing you will have peace of mind.Alan Slomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17966543499033330765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4694505809435969577.post-69408576322468139872008-03-19T20:31:00.000+00:002008-03-19T20:31:00.000+00:00Taking one map sounds good to me.
