Today I went for a walk wearing shorts and a t-shirt. That’s the first time I’ve done that this year.
Pity I forgot to pick up my bottle of water, as it was positively warm out!
I didn’t go far, nor did I go anywhere interesting, but just wanted to record (for my own benefit) that the end of June did see a bit of summery weather.
(Admittedly, there have probably been other ‘shorts and t-shirt’ days – just not when I’ve been free to pop out for a walk.)
Yes, apart from a couple of "nice springlike" days, yesterday was the first "summer" day of the year in this neck of the woods as well. Although we weren't able to walk.
ReplyDeleteI gather much of the coming week will be OK, but that'll mean work for a lot of people.
The joys of an English summer! Still, mustn't grumble: it makes this lovely land what it is.
Now then...does this mean you've not been at work? Oh tsk.
ReplyDeleteI did that Roaches walk yesterday, all stops between warm & sunny and cold & windy. I wore shorts all day though!
I'm out for an evening walk in a mo: shorts again! The English summer is a wonderful thing?

Ah - forget that last comment. Pleased to hear you have received some sun at last. And I see you've done some Challenge indexes. Now there's a wet weather job if ever I saw one. You'll have to wait a while longer for ours...
