The Road goes ever on and on; Down from the door where it began;
Now far ahead the Road has gone; And I must follow, if I can;
Pursuing it with eager feet; Until it joins some larger way;
Where many paths and errands met; And whither then? I cannot say.

At the Mediterranean

It was a bit further to the beach than I said in yesterday's post. I'd got the '0.9 of a mile' info from the hotel's advertising, but it think they'd measured as the crow flies and then rounded down. It still only took us 25 minutes of strolling before we had shoes full of gritty sand and wet toes.

Then we strolled back again and got on a train to Toulouse where we will spend tomorrow being tourists.

  1. Well done you! A great achievement! Now, when in Toulouse be sure to visit the very wonderful Marché Victor Hugo – the largest covered market in town, right in the centre, on, duh, Place Victor Hugo. Open from 06:00 to 14:00. All manner of delights - splendid cheeses, fruits, nuts, fresh herbs, sausages - and plenty of places to eat on the first floor (with balconies). It's about a 20min walk south-west from the station into the centre. Let the guzzling begin!
