Perhaps more for my own records than by way of useful information for anyone else (although perhaps it will be of interest or value to someone), I’ve made some notes about the accommodation we used during our walk along the first half of the GR10, from Hendaye to Bagneres de Luchon. I’m using the term ‘accommodation’ a little loosely, to cover campsites, beds and anywhere else where we laid our heads.
The stats were that we spent five nights in beds (all in double rooms; never a dorm), five nights on campsites and ten nights camped for free, either wild-camping or on an aire de bivouac by a Refuge.

(Note: I’ve stated the prices excluding tourist tax. The tourist tax is based on the type of accommodation and the number of stars it has. At its lowest it was 20c per person per night (pppn). The most we paid (for the three star hotel) was €1pppn.)
