The Road goes ever on and on; Down from the door where it began;
Now far ahead the Road has gone; And I must follow, if I can;
Pursuing it with eager feet; Until it joins some larger way;
Where many paths and errands met; And whither then? I cannot say.

A Bit Wild

I'm glad I'm not out walking in this.

We're pitched at Glen Nevis on the least water-logged ground that we could find.

Poking a head out of the tent and looking over to Ben Nevis we see the waterfalls being blown quite spectacularly back up the mountain.

In the valley the trees are dancing merrily.

Our tent is imploding on us at regular intervals.

And still the rain falls.

  1. Wow! Fair play to both of you and to Duncan for sticking as long as you did and for abandoning camp at that crucial moment - I know what that's like having had to do it pitched by the Oykel River on our CWT adventure last month.

    When are you heading out? There will be a bunch of TGO Challengers arriving at the Alexandra Hotel, FW for the Scottish Reunion this weekend.

    Cheers and well done!
