The Road goes ever on and on; Down from the door where it began;
Now far ahead the Road has gone; And I must follow, if I can;
Pursuing it with eager feet; Until it joins some larger way;
Where many paths and errands met; And whither then? I cannot say.

Edale – Some Photos

I’ll start with a bit of a compare-and-contrast:

March 2009:

April 2009 (the angle’s different because this time I didn’t have to struggle up a ridiculously steep grass slope to bypass the falls):

Taking the interesting route:

Mick demonstrates the shelter that can be achieved under an interestingly shaped rock:

  2. Nowt like a good blue sky to make for nice photos, is there?

    It is absolutely lovely around Edale. It's dispicable that we've lived so close (relatively, at least) for so many years and yet have completely neglected the place. The only downside is that it's very accessible, which means that it's also very busy - fine mid-week in winter, but we'll likely be avoiding the place from now until Autumn.
