The Road goes ever on and on; Down from the door where it began;
Now far ahead the Road has gone; And I must follow, if I can;
Pursuing it with eager feet; Until it joins some larger way;
Where many paths and errands met; And whither then? I cannot say.

Strange!

Don't know how clear the photo is, but rounding a bend just after the Oykel Bridge Hotel just now we found our names very clearly (and apparently freshly) written in the dirt.

Who wrote it? That's the question.

  1. Eep, that's a bit spooky! Hopefully it'll turn out to be some kind of trail angel who brings you tea and cake.

  2. How odd...I can't wait for the next installment...this is better than Eastenders!

    I'm glad all seems to be going well - and Patch would certainly be enjoying the lack of low flying jets! she still has a long way to go, but all seems quiet here as well (we live in a tactical training area). I presume the jets are being saved from ash problems that still seem to be around.

    Not long now 'till your there and I can have that glass of wine for you...I've been practising...
